The Lynx Initiative

Vision Statement

Our vision with The Lynx Initiative is to create a future where every child in Alaska, regardless of socioeconomic status, has equal access to STEM education. We envision a community-driven initiative focused on Title I schools and schools without current robotics programs, catering to 4th through 8th graders. Our goal is to empower students to become leaders in their high school robotics teams and foster a love for STEM.

In addition to teaching STEM concepts, we prioritize the use of the scientific method and emotional regulation, fostering an environment where children can make mistakes and learn in a supportive setting. With the commitment of passionate teenagers and supportive adults, we aim to establish a self-sustainable model that ensures the continuity of our programs for generations to come. Together, we envision a world where every child can embrace STEM education, unlocking their potential and shaping a brighter future for themselves and their communities.
