The Alaska Museum of Science and Nature is a hidden gem in Anchorage. Our Hands-On Science Museum features dinosaurs, rocks and gems, Ice Age mammals and more. Get close to it all! Exhibits include a full size pterosaur and other dinosaurs, the wooly mammoth, an Ice Age bear, touchable wolves and bears, and even a whale. A toddler friendly Museum, there are activities for every age – including teenagers.

Please schedule your birthday party at least two weeks in advance. We recommend inquiring about a specific date and time as early as possible.

By Road:

The museum is located at 201 N. Bragaw, just north of the Glenn Highway (6th Avenue as it leaves Anchorage). From either direction, take the Bragaw Street, and turn north onto Bragaw. Cross Mountain View Drive, and the museum and adjacent parking are located on the left side of the street.

By Bus:

Anchorage People Mover Public Bus Route 45 provides access from downtown Anchorage right to our door.

Parking:

The museum offers free off-street parking, located adjacent to the building.
