January Tinker Time is all about Animals in Winter!

How do Alaska's Creatures Survive the Cold and Snow?

January 2nd - Freezing Frogs
Preschoolers will learn how Alaska’s Frogs deal with the freezing temperatures in which they live.

January 9th - Lazy Ladybugs
Preschoolers will understand how this spotted creature spends its time during the long winter months.

January 16th - Bedtime Bears
Preschoolers will learn that bears are not true hibernators, but they are very sleepy.

January 23rd - Hide and Seek Arctic Hares
Preschoolers will learn how these fast and furry creatures change their color to match the season.

January 30th - Cheeping Chickadees
Preschoolers will learn how hard the black capped chickadee has to work to stay warm and find the food it has stashed away.
