North Slope &
Brooks Range
The Cretaceous Colville and Nanushuk Groups have yielded hadrosaur (a) (b), hypsilophodontid, ceratopsian, theropod (a) (b) (c), and ankylosaur dinosaurs. The Triassic Shublik Formation has yielded ichthyosaurs.
Alaska Peninsula The Jurassic Naknek Formation has yielded plesiosaur bones as well as the tracks of two meat-eating dinosaurs.
Southcentral Alaska One hadrosaur and one ankylosaur have been found in the Matanuska Formation in the Talkeetna Mountains.
Southeastern Alaska The Late Triassic Nehentna Formation has yielded one ichthyosaur.
