Dall Sheep

A Survivor of Climate Changes

Dall Sheep

One resident of Broken Mammoth, the Dall sheep, is well known today. Unlike the mammoth and the elk, the Dall sheep managed to survive the climate changes and continues to live in the uplands.

Snowshoe Hare

A Survivor, Unchanged

Another inhabitant well known today is the snowshoe hare. For the hare, life has changed very little over the millennia. As always, the snowshoe hare would have had to watch out for predators such as lynx and Arctic fox.
